Ali Rafiq

Ali is a dedicated physical therapist committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago in 2016, followed by a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Miami in 2019. He then completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Northwestern University in 2022.

Following graduation, Ali completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency through the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, where he received advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. He also holds Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), recognizing advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in orthopedic physical therapy. His clinical approach emphasizes individualized care, movement analysis, patient education, and empowering patients to achieve their functional goals.

Ali is certified in dry needling and incorporates this technique, when appropriate, as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. He is also currently working toward McKenzie (MDT) certification to further enhance his expertise in the assessment and treatment of spinal and extremity disorders.

Ali enjoys treating patients of all activity levels—from individuals recovering from surgery or managing chronic pain to athletes striving to return to peak performance. He is passionate about helping people move better, reduce pain, and regain confidence in their daily lives through compassionate, evidence-based physical therapy. Outside the clinic, Ali enjoys staying active by playing basketball, cycling, and following a variety of sports. He values maintaining an active lifestyle and enjoys helping his patients return to the activities they love the most.
